El Franco Lee Park

There’s a small little park right off the beltway in Pearland that is currently the focus of some sort of birdwatching vortex of awesome. I’ve visited twice, and from one small gazebo, I’ve seen merlins, a Bald Eagle, harriers, Red-shouldered Hawks, kestrels, a prairie falcon (which is very strange for this part of Texas), a Ruff (very strange!), and a host of waterfowl.  The place is amazing and a happy little nature nook right off a busy highway.
